DAYS 1-5 (MARCH 24-28)
Again some folks wake up to a fresh coating of snow that fell from passing snow showers last night. This was in response to upper level low pressure moving through the region, which now lingers as a band of clouds over southeastern NH and eastern MA with just a few fleeting flakes from southern Plymouth County to Cape Cod as of sunrise. Any snow that fell will vanish as the clouds break and the sun rises higher into the sky, and high pressure building in gives us dry weather for the balance of the day today, a dry and chilly night, and fair weather with slightly milder air moving in for Wednesday. The high will slip offshore later Wednesday and a weak cold front approaches from the west. It never quite makes it all the way through, and is moisture-starved anyway, so all we’ll see it from it are some clouds anyway. The boundary actually heads back to the north Thursday in response to approaching low pressure from the west. This system will come through our region with some wet weather late Thursday to early Friday, behind which a gusty wind will develop and a transition back to colder air, especially Friday night and Saturday, but with dry weather also returning.
TODAY: Considerable cloudiness early in eastern coastal areas including lingering snow flurries in southeastern MA, otherwise sunshine and passing clouds. Highs 38-45. Wind NW to N 5-15 MPH.
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy to mostly clear. Lows 28-35. Wind variable under 10 MPH.
WEDNESDAY: Sun dominant in the morning before clouds increase from west to east in the afternoon. Highs 46-53, coolest Cape Cod. Wind W to SW 5-15 MPH.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Variably cloudy. Lows 35-42. Wind W 5-15 MPH.
THURSDAY: Partly to mostly cloudy. Highs 50-57. Wind S 5-15 MPH.
THURSDAY NIGHT: Cloudy. Rain arrives. Lows 35-42. Wind SW 5-15 MPH.
FRIDAY: Cloudy early with rain ending, then slow clearing. Highs 45-52. Wind N 5-15 MPH.
FRIDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear. Lows 22-30. Wind NW 10-20 MPH, higher gusts. Wind chill below 20.
SATURDAY: Sun & passing clouds. Highs 36-43. Wind NW 10-20 MPH, higher gusts.
DAYS 6-10 (MARCH 29 β APRIL 2)
Up and down temps, averaging near to below normal, and a couple periods of unsettled weather possible, but likely from quick-passing systems.
DAYS 11-15 (APRIL 3-7)
Battle zone set-up (warm to south, colder to north). A couple of unsettled weather bouts end up likely, and leaning toward the colder air being more dominant, but brief warmer surges are certainly possible.
Good morning and thank you TK

Ocean: 38
It was snowing here at 1130 last night and woke up to a fresh solid coating of snow.
WORDLE: 5
Nice, JpDave !
Nice 5
Thank you both, but I do not consider 5 a good score.
It was more like a Phew 5. π π

Thanks TK !
Wordle: 4 (thought I had it in 3, but wasn’t what they had in mind)
Sugar coating of snow overnight.
Great 4 too.
Itβs a fail for me. Not sure why Iβm
Struggling but may need to take a break. I have never cared what score I get. Itβs the uncharacteristic struggle that bothers me.
Consider not taking a break.
If I did that, I would have taken 15 breaks in the last month. π
6, 5, 4, 3, fail, I just roll with it onto the next one.
Excellent 4 Tom. Sorry about the Fail Vicki. I know the feeling well and all too often. π DO NOT give up and DO NOT take a break.
Vicki – Sometimes when I’m in a Wordle-funk, I’ll try starting with strange first guesses – maybe almost all vowels, almost all consonants, uncommon letters…
It frees me from the idea of trying to “win” and brings back the fun. And occasionally I’ll be surprised at how well it works out!
π
Thank you for the support. Having played for five ish years, I am surprised I was never discouraged before. Iβll try SCkarkes technique. It sounds like fun.

12z GFS. This had better NOT be an April fool ! π
Nice
Thank you, TK. We are at our low of 27 with a coating of snow on all but pavement
Here is the EURO 48 hour 10:1 snow for April 7th
https://www.pivotalweather.com/model.php?m=ecmwf_full&p=sn10_acc-imp&rh=2026032400&fh=360&r=us_ne&dpdt=&mc=
REMINDER: this is 10:1 snow, however most of it would (SHOULD this verify) fall during night time hours. BUT temperatures are marginal, so it would not be a high ratio, I don’t think.
Why worry now, it WILL be gone on the12Z run. π π π
A 1982 repeat? βοΈ
This was April 5??? The 7th at least isnβt Easter Sunday.
April 6-7, 1982
Easter Sunday this year is on April 5th.
As TK mentioned, we had another nice coating of snow this morning.
I got Wordle in 3.
Wow!!! Superb!!!
Super !
Awesome.
Wordle 4
Great !
Awesome!!
Thank you TK!
Wordle: 5 (had two choices for the 4th attempt and of course I chose the wrong one)
Vicki – we all have our failed attempts so please don’t take a break.
Nice !
VERY Well done.
It isnβt the fail. Itβs that I canβt seem to focus enough to enjoy it. I like SCkarkes idea for changing it up. I think every day since it was released in 2021 has gotten a bit old. I may go back to nerdle too.
Welcome to the 5 car. π
Happy to be here JPD!
Thanks, TK!
NOW Data in Norton is reporting 5.96″ in precipiation for us for March, exactly 2″ above normal for the month with one week left.
The Red Sox break camp today in Florida and head to Ohio to face the Reds Thursday afternoon.
The forecast for Cincinnati for Thursday for Opening Day:
A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11am, then a chance of showers between 11am and 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 81. Southwest wind 7 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Looking forward to baseball season, Captain !
Hope all is well !!
Well, I’m not sure if I’d rather be Wilmington, NC or us.
Wilmington yesterday was 90F and today its 52F. I’m sure its a shock to the system.
Conversely, we never got out of the 30s yesterday, saw snow in the air and its currently struggling mightily with a high late March sun angle to get to 40F. So, at least we don’t know any better as to what we are missing. π
Right now, I’D MUCH rather see 40 than 90!!!!!
I’d prefer about 75 at this time. π
That ain’t happening!!!!
Completely agree Tom.
Hey, we have made 40 here. π π π
Wordle 4.
That potential for snow on April 7th better go away the next run. Iβve got the week off then. lol
Vicky re wordle I love doing words that have some relation to something Iβm thinking about that day. Today my starting word was GRIME because I need to wash some dishes! Yesterday it was DRAIN because I could hear water dripping from the roof down the gutter. Iβve gotten some first guess answers that way which always spooks me!
Nice 4!!!
Ohhhh you are all amazing. I love this idea too. Thank you
And great 4
Thanks Tk!
