DAYS 1-5 (APRIL 7-11)
An upper level trough and attendant weak surface low pressure area passing through the region today will bring abundant cloud cover and some precipitation of both the frozen and liquid variety, albeit rather insignificant. High pressure builds in tonight and Wednesday with drier weather and chilly air as low temps fall below freezing through most of the region tonight and stay in the 40s during the day Wednesday. High pressure slides offshore with a steady warming trend Thursday and Friday. A cold front will move through the region Friday night followed by a push of slightly cooler air Saturday.
TODAY: Cloudy morning with episodes of snow and rain with some sleet potentially mixed in as well. Variably cloudy afternoon with scattered showers of snow / graupel / sleet / and rain, ending west to east. Highs 42-49. Wind variable 5-15 MPH.
TONIGHT: Clearing. Lows 25-32. Wind NW 5-15 MPH.
WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs 42-49. N up to 10 MPH shifting to E.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear. Lows 35-42. Wind E under 10 MPH shifting to S.
THURSDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs 52-59 except 45-52 South Coast. Wind S to SW 5-15 MPH.
THURSDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear. Lows 38-45. Wind SW 5-15 MPH.
FRIDAY: Partly cloudy. Highs 63-70 except 55-62 South Coast and 48-55 Cape Cod / Islands. Wind SW 10-20 MPH.
FRIDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy. Chance of a shower. Lows 41-48. Wind SW 5-15 MPH shifting to N.
SATURDAY: Sun and passing clouds. Highs 55-62. Wind N 5-15 MPH, higher gusts.
DAYS 6-10 (APRIL 12-16)
Fair, milder April 12 but may start with clouds / drizzle as a warm front passes through the region. Generally up and down temperature pattern but limited unsettled weather / mostly dry early to mid portion of next week with a moisture-starved frontal boundary nearby.
DAYS 11-15 (APRIL 17-21)
Overall pattern looks similar with up-and-down temperatures and limited unsettled weather chances.
Thank you, TK
We are 33 up 5 degrees from our low. We have a trace of Styrofoam balls (graupel) on cars and unpaved surfaces.

1 letter in position on 1st and remained on 2nd guess. The word just hit me for guess 3. It happens sometimes, but not very often for me.
Awesome, JpDave !
Thanks Tom. Lucky today.
Well done sir!
Great job!!
Philip on the last blog you declared that Boston was unlikely to snow in April this year ( even though I have literally had it in my forecast for them today for a few days now).
Well, I am pleased to report that your prediction is already incorrect. It is snowing there as I type this. 🙂
Moderate snow Reading MA.
Thank you, TK.
Both winter and summer can have extended `stays,’ if you will, in this region. These extensions tend to bring more volatility in spring here than in fall. In other words, there’s more calmness (less oscillation, more just an integral part of autumn) to Indian summer than what often happens here in spring. Old Man Winter can be really grumpy as it nears the end. The vestiges of summer, on the other hand, have a serene character. By late September/October they’ve even rid themselves of cooling off episodes (ie, thunderstorms).
Thanks TK !

Had to share this, wasn’t sure if it was shared before but the weather channel has a retrocast on their website. It’s a fun throwback!
