  1. Thanks TK.
Beautiful day out there today but it gets unsettled overnight into tomorrow with showers and storms. I am still thinking the storms remain below severe levels but I would not rule places in SNE seeing a strong thunderstorm. Currently SPC has us in the general thunderstorm category for tomorrow.

  2. I notice an 88 on TK’s forecast for Saturday…I smell heatwave #2 coming next weekend. 🙁

    1. why is your smile upside down but it right side up 🙂 I rather have a heat wave than have 70s and rain. It was a great day yesterday I had almost 30 of my friends come. luckly not all at the same time. sadly right in the middle of my party storm clouds came through with thunder and some lightning but no rain. Our pool was steaming yesterday during the late afternoon the pool water was about 80 degrees on the surface and 78 on the bottom . Thank you heat wave.

      1. If it is an only choice between 70s with rain vs. HHH, of course I would take the latter. However, for me that is the choice of two evils, so to speak. 😉

I would prefer what we have today all summer long! 🙂

  3. The humidity will be back as we get into late week and next weekend with those lows up in the 60s.

  4. How can you ask for a better day!! If it could be like this for 3 months I would a happy man!

    1. At least we do get breaks from the heat and humidity up unlike the south where cold fronts don’t have the strength to get down there until mid to late September.

  5. I turned the ac off last night only to turn back on this afternoon, warm day day here again down on the south shore.

    1. Do you have a breeze? It’s lovely here with a good breeze and wonderful breeze – 84 with dew point of 52 and heat index lower than temp (82)

      1. Wait one second young man – aren’t you the one who loves HHH????? Just as I clicked post I thought of that.

Daughter and husband and son were or are still down your way today. They headed to Humarock at 10:00 am for a picnic. Husband is golfing………………………….ahhhhhh the quiet along with the weather is wonderful 🙂

        1. Vicki i sure do love the warm weather. But also like a cool house during it. I would rather a hot summer than a cool one for sure. summer goes way to quick. No breeze here. Starting to think about my vacation more, it will be warm there for sure.

    1. I dont know Charlie, was at Newport 2nd today and the water was nowhere near 70. Beach was crowded but not too many people in the water. Need another couple weeks and another heat wave to get that water temp up.

  6. Line of developing T-Storms over the Litchfield Hills of CT this morning. Moving ENE. Could be an interesting day here in Southern and Eastern New England.

  7. That line in Litchfield County has a severe thunderstorm warning on it.
Thunderstorm Index at a 2 since there is a threat of severe weather. This usually does not happen to get severe weather this earlier in the morning.

  8. I saw that line Keith and it looks very active!!!

I would not want to be in FL where they are expecting 15-20 inches of rain – maybe more – from Debby. She’s also spawning tornadoes that have caused one death. They do not expect her to even make landfall until into Thursday – maybe.

And Colorado is a mess from the fires.

    1. Vicky….Very active indeed! Also some activity just north of Providence.

Flooding in Florida will be pretty bad I would imagine. I hope that Debby doesn’t come up here late next weekend (even in a weakened form) and upset the holiday week.

Off to work now. Will be checking the radar all day. Already disconnected my antennas.

      1. I was wondering if there were a potential for her to arrive here as rain, etc next week. You have answered my question and I hope she doesn’t come visiting either. Have a great day at work.
