DAYS 1-5 (OCTOBER 2-6)
The feel of summer will be with us today ahead of a cold front, which brings a few showers across the region and puts an end of the brief warm spell tonight. This sets up the region for a seasonable and pleasant weekend with plenty of sunshine Saturday as high pressure builds in. Sunday will feature sun which will then give way clouds as a wave of low pressure heads our way from the southwest. This system will only skirt the region with the best chance of rain near the South Coast later Sunday or Sunday night. That system departs overnight / early Monday and sets us up for a breezy, milder day ahead of a sharp cold front. The latter does bring the chance of a passing shower that afternoon before the coolest air mass in quite some time arrives Monday night and Tuesday with the return of fair weather.
TODAY: Sun is dominant into afternoon before clouds increase and bring a shower chance west to east later in the afternoon. Highs 76-83. Wind SW 5-15 MPH gusting 20-25 MPH.
TONIGHT: Clouds and a shower chance progressing into southeastern MA & RI early followed by clearing. Fog patches toward dawn inland lower elevations. Lows 52-59. Wind NW 5-15 MPH, diminishing overnight.
SATURDAY: Abundant sun with passing fair weather clouds. Highs 64-71. Wind NW 5-15 MPH.
SATURDAY NIGHT: Clear. Lows 42-49 except 45-52 coastline and urban centers. Wind N under 10 MPH.
SUNDAY: Clouding up. Rain chance favors South Coast late day. Highs 61-68. Wind N to variable up to 10 MPH.
SUNDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy. A rain chance early Cape Cod. Lows 50-57. Wind variable to S 5-15 MPH.
MONDAY: Partly sunny. Chance of a shower. Highs 61-68. Wind SW 10-20 MPH and gusty.
MONDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy. Lows 42-49. Wind NW 5-15 MPH.
TUESDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs 57-64. Wind NW to N 5-15 MPH.
DAYS 6-10 (OCTOBER 7-11)
Fair weather and below normal temperatures early in the period then a recovery to milder mid period. Another cold front brings a shower chance then a return to cooler weather toward the end of the period.
DAYS 11-15 (OCTOBER 12-16)
Westerly air flow in a split flow pattern with the northern jet stream controlling our weather here with an up-and-down temperature pattern with a couple brief shower chances, otherwise mainly dry.
Thank you, TK. 64/63. Low of 64
Is there a chance we might get into the 30s Tuesday am?
Another Wordle word I have never heard.
I used JPDs word picker for guess one and two. They gave me first two letters in correct position and a third letter out of position. I guessed at a fourth letter and what I hoped were first four letters. Then I kept adding available letters for fifth position until one took.
There is absolutely no way I’d have gotten this word any other way.
Wordle 3
Outstanding!!!! Then I am cooked for sure. Nothing is making sense and since I don’t have Any letters in position, impossible to start substituting letters. Sometimes coming back to it helps, sometimes es it leads to more misery!!!!
Thank you. You may well be familiar with the word. Good luck!!
Excellent 3, Vicki !
Good morni g and thank you TK

Ocean: 60
Wordle: still working on it. First 2 guesses yielded nothing but 10 letters not in the word!!! 3rd guess, 3 letters out of position and I am stuck there as nothing makes any sense at all!! Totally lost.
A fail may be in the cards.
You got this. But in the event you don’t get it, IMO some of these words lately are VERY unfair.
I tried some more and threw in a word tharvused a letter not in the solution. Now I have 1 letter in position and 2 out after 4 guesses. NOTHING making any sense. Will come back later, perhaps much later. No time now.
I have faith in you, JpDave ! Good luck !!
Thanks TK !
Wordle: somehow in 4. I am thrilled with that score for today’s word, which I feel like I have heard before but rarely, if ever, use it.
Excellent.
I fear I am cooked. So far I cannot see a word!!!!@
Yes, I really didn’t see it …. I stumbled into it, really.
Ditto.
Superb, Tom.
