DAYS 1-5 (OCTOBER 9-13)
High pressure brings us fair weather today and Saturday. Low pressure from the midwest, infused with some moisture from what will remain of (current) Hurricane Isaias heading for the Gulf Coast will send clouds our way Sunday along with a Sunday night period of rain, which now appears it will exit first thing Monday as the bulk of the tropical moisture slides out to our south. Improving weather follows during Monday with another area of high pressure bringing fair weather early Tuesday before an approaching cold front brings back clouds and a shower chance by late Tuesday. Timing of that front is uncertain this far in advance but will be monitored and refined in future updates.
TODAY: Mostly sunny. Highs 60-67. Wind NW 5-15 MPH, higher gusts especially midday.
TONIGHT: Clear. Lows 33-40 except 38-45 immediate coast and urban centers. Wind N under 10 MPH.
SATURDAY: Sunny. Highs 62-69. Wind variable up to 10 MPH.
SATURDAY NIGHT: Clear. Lows 38-45. Wind calm.
SUNDAY: Increasing clouds. Highs 63-70. Wind S up to 10 MPH.
SUNDAY NIGHT: Cloudy. Rain likely. Lows 55-62. Wind SE 5-15 MPH.
MONDAY: Cloudy start with a chance of rain and areas of fog early, then clouds break for sun at times. Highs 62-69. Wind E shifting to N 5-15 MPH.
MONDAY NIGHT: Clearing. Lows 43-50. Wind W 5-15 MPH.
TUESDAY: Increasing clouds. Chance of showers late. Highs 61-68. Wind SW 10-20 MPH.
DAYS 6-10 (OCTOBER 14-18)
A shower chance can linger to early October 14 depending on the timing of a passing frontal system, otherwise turning dry and cool into the middle of next week. Watching for a shower potential around early October 16 and perhaps sometime during the October 17-18 weekend, but the deeper we get into this period the more uncertainty there is. The overall tendency is for most guidance to show dry over wet. Temperatures are not expected to stray too far from seasonable during this period of time.
DAYS 11-15 (OCTOBER 19-23)
Overall pattern looks dry – high pressure dominated, but we may again have to watch low pressure to our south with a tendency for some blocking to re-appear. Temperatures near to slightly below normal.
Good morning and thank you TK

Here’s an ob southeast of New Orleans, quite a way. Elevation is near the sfc of the Gulf apparently, not on top of a platform.
Taking a strong tropical storm the last few hrs.
