DAYS 1-5 (OCTOBER 30 – NOVEMBER 3)
We’ve just enough moisture to kick off a few showers in eastern MA to the NH Seacoast as today dawn’s and a cold front moves through. Behind this front it will be a breezy and still-mild day however, the breeze quite gusty and boosting fire danger somewhat. A secondary front will move through this evening and that will be the introduction of a cooler air mass that will be with us for the coming weekend, which includes Halloween, the switch from Daylight Saving Time to Standard Time, and the first day of November. For Halloween evening shenanigans, expect a clear sky, light wind, but a quick drop-off in temperature as the wind is fairly calm – starting in the 50s at sunset and ending up in the 40s not long after. High pressure will dominate early next week with additional fair weather and milder air returning.
TODAY: Early clouds including quick-passing scattered showers NH Seacoast through eastern MA, then sunshine returning. Highs 65-72. Wind W 10-20 MPH, gusts up to 30 MPH.
TONIGHT: Mostly clear. Lows 33-40. Wind NW 5-15 MPH, a few higher gusts.
SATURDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs 55-62. Wind NW 5-15 MPH, diminishing.
SATURDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear. Lows 26-33 except 34-41 coastal & urban areas. Wind calm.
SUNDAY: Sun and high clouds. Highs 56-63. Wind variable up to 10 MPH.
SUNDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy. Lows 38-45. Wind S under 10 MPH.
MONDAY: Partly cloudy. Highs 62-69. Wind SW 5-15 MPH.
MONDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy. Lows 43-50. Wind SW to variable under 10 MPH.
TUESDAY: Partly cloudy. Highs 60-67. Wind variable to SE up to 10 MPH.
DAYS 6-10 (NOVEMBER 4-8)
Pattern trends a bit more active. Low pressure brings a wet weather chance mid period. Details TBD. Temperatures near to above normal.
DAYS 11-15 (NOVEMBER 9-13)
Disturbance or two with potential unsettled weather in the November 10-12 period. Temperatures near to above normal.
Thanks TK !
Wordle: 3
Not time to check obs, but wondering if Boston’s streak of no measurable precip just ended a bit ago.
Brief, light shower here in Marshfield with a very colorful, eastern horizon.
Excellent 3 Tom. Well done.
Thanks JpDave !
As of 7 AM obs no precip measured at Logan. Perhaps a bit in the 7-8:AM hour?????
Good morning and thank you TK

Wordle: 5. Too many choices. Thought for sure I had in 3. Nope. Then 4. Nope. Finally on guess 5 I selected the word wordle wanted.
Nice 5, I’ve been through that multiple options many times, as well 🙂
Yeah, extremely frustrating.
It is !!
I got Wordle in 5 today. The first guess gave me 4 of the letters, all out of place. That seemed like a good start, but there were oodles of possibilities.
