  1. Good morning,
Another White house stafffer tested positive for Covid-19,
    Nicholas luna, aide to trump.

    Re: trump’s condition
I don’t believe a word of what is being said.

Past president’s have a history of keeping their “true” condition hidden, Including a massive heart attack
by Dwight Eisenhauer in 1955 that was reported as
    indigestion.

    Here is some info:

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/to-your-health/wp/2016/09/12/the-secret-history-of-presidential-disease-sickness-and-deception/

Take what is being said with a dump truck of salt.

    1. I have to “Suscribe” just to read one article? Thanks but no thanks. For me it’s the principle of it. Yes I understand that I can “cancel at any time”.

        1. The article comes up for a split second then it’s blocked by the subscription ad and doesn’t give you a choice. In order to start reading, subscribe or “good bye”. At least that’s what I got out of it.

  2. I have been hearing that Trump has been taking an “antibody cocktail” since his arrival.

What exactly are the ingredients? Is this part of a potential vaccine cure?

    1. No, not a vaccine. Remember, he has the disease. Vaccine won’t do anything for him. Could actually make things worse as it would activate his immune system into overdrive.

For a man who is “doing well” (and I sort of believe it) he’s on A LOT of meds: From the benign, like Pepcid and aspirin, to the heavy duty reserved for those with moderate to severe disease (antiviral Remdesivir), to the experimental antibody agent you referred to. The latter is a monoclonal antibody, a biologic, and it’s supposed to be a therapeutic. I can’t tell you precisely what it does.

  3. Trump thinks he’s out of the woods already but I heard a doctor being interviewed said that fevers “come and go”. A fever could come right back again so I don’t believe he’s anywhere close to getting “truly better” just yet. He needs to stay in the hospital a good 10 days. Is that the average?

    1. I don’t know the average hospital stay. But 10 days sounds about right. For those with prolonged and severe illness hospital stays can be months, as you know. Trump hasn’t yet shown signs of severe disease.

    1. Thanks Joshua. Excellent article as always!

No surprise that a “mask skeptic” is on Trump’s WH Coronavirus Task Force. 😉
Also surprising that simple hand washing was ridiculed by doctors as relatively recently as the 1800’s.

  4. As an aside, it seems there is a second year of national shortage of over 65 flu vaccines. I was to have a vaccine during my yearly visit last Thursday and the doctors office had run out of all. I called multiple places in the area. While they do have under 65, they do not have over 65.

    1. I didn’t know there is an over/under 65 flu vaccine. All I know is that I received my flu and shingles vaccine at CVS back in August. In the past I have waited until September or October but given this pandemic I got it early.

Maybe you should go to a CVS or Walgreen’s, whichever is available in Sutton or nearby town.

      1. No place out here has the over 65. I know my doctor is having a clinic in a couple of weeks. I had under 65 last year. The over 65 as I understand is a Quadrivalentthis year and covers four strains. But added for over 65 is a lot of immune boosters. I know they say the shot lasts a year. I have had flu a couple of times in April time frame when I got shot too early. I’ll find a link that explains better and Post below

            1. Interestingly, thanks to you I read more and found out the new 65 high dose that does cover four strains has been having some side effects and it is first year they have tried it. I have always stayed away from first time shots. Thank you, Philip, you helped me make my decision.

  5. According to doctors, POTUS may be released from the hospital on Monday.

Also, VP Pence tested negative yesterday. He is not in quarantine or isolation and will continue on the campaign trail. He was at the recent WH Rose Garden Party.

    1. Yes he is getting better. Only thing that gave me pause is I know macs cousins Son was moved to dexamethadone sp? By his ICU physician wife and her colleague when he started to get worse fairly rapidly. Well, it wasn’t the only thing. Contradictions always give me pause and there were a number of them.

  6. Dexamethasone is only indicated for severe Covid-19, not mild or moderate. Trump doesn’t have severe Covid-19. I don’t understand the doctors. Hopefully they realize that the 3 powerful agents they’ve put the President on have major side effects, may interact with each other in unknown ways, and 2 of 3 are experimental compounds (never been approved). In my experience, doctors often downplay side effects and drug-drug interactions, which can be very detrimental to patients.

  7. I just heard on the evening news that the NFL is now considering reducing the regular season to 14 games and “bubbling” for the playoffs.
