I’m watching the Sutton select board meeting. We have an amazing board. I watch the school committee meetings. I also love our SC. The SC meets remotely. Tonight was the first in person for SB….but everyone from the board to the few in audience are protected by plexiglas. The majority of members are vaccinated.
Sutton library has said anyone entering must wear a mask and distance since children who often use the library cannot be vaccinated.
Anyone want to take a stab at explaining to me how our schools are not taking the same precautions. And please know I do not fault ANY board. I fault DESE and Baker and Biden
I need to add as I was paying attention to an issue of the select board…I really would like to understand the thought process and appreciate any input
Philip, Peru’s revision follows Mexico’s revision. It’s deaths going back to last year, and includes all variants. Both countries have had very high death rates (deaths per million inhabitants), higher than the U.S. and even higher than the worst affected European countries. Some of this has to do with poor healthcare systems. Peru and Mexico are still emerging market nations.
C-19 for 6-2 is ready.

Peru now has the highest death rate in the world. It revised its number of Covid-19 deaths from 70,000 to 180,000.
Is that due to a new variant?
