  1. Vicki – wanted to thank you for your comment the other day with recommendations. I didn’t get a chance to respond but I did read it.

        1. I don’t know how I missed this. So sorry you are still not feeling well. I hope dr comes up with a plan soon

    1. Thank you, Joshua. I used all my Forbes articles. We have used ivermectin regularly for years to deworm our horses. Amazing folks don’t trust the vaccine but will trust a horse wormer.

      1. It’s really bizarre all right. I wonder if some people just have an irrational fear of the “needle” itself? Could that be the reason behind all this vaccine hesitancy?

    1. I just don’t understand why conservatives especially are so much against the vaccine. Their “leader” Trump certainly got his even before the general public did. No hesitancy on his part.

      1. I don’t agree at all with folks who refuse based on politics. I don’t even agree with folks who are just hesitant, but I do try to understand. I would never have received the vaccine In the first wave. Now I am hesitant with the third dose because of very mixed information or no information re myocarditis as well as mixed messages re the timing.

  2. I have lost a fair amount of respect for Heather Cox Richardson lately, but I think this comment by here explains some of the hesitancy on the side of the right. For the record, I don’t agree with folks who say they just don’t want government to tell them what to do.

    HCRs comment …..

For all that Republicans today insist that individualism is the heart of Americanism, in fact the history of federal protection of the common good began in the 1860s with their own ancestors, led by Abraham Lincoln, who wrote: “The legitimate object of government, is to do for a community of people, whatever they need to have done, but can not do, at all, or can not, so well do, for themselves—in their separate, and individual capacities.”

      1. Yes. It’s a very small percentage overall of Covid-19 deaths. But, it does happen.

Appears to happening the most in those fully vaccinated at least 6 months ago, older, immunocompromised, or other underlying health conditions.

  3. Unfortunate reality is that the CDC is a shell of its former self. We now rely on data from the UK and Israel. To be frank, it’s not just Covid-19. I work on several HIV projects. HIV data in the U.S. is notoriously fragmented. I’ve also worked on pain medication projects. CDC data gathering, analysis, and recommendations for prescribing leave a lot to be desired. https://twitter.com/PeterHotez/status/1431955068304117763

    1. The cdc said a while ago that it would not track breakthrough. What the heck??? It is no wonder many folks hesitate to get the vaccine. The average person doesn’t go to the UK or Israel.
