  1. If I heard correctly this morning, the U.S. has the highest daily cases in the world. Absolutely disgraceful! 🙁

Not long ago, we were known as the greatest nation in the world, now we have the greatest number of Covid-19. To say that we have fallen from grace is an understatement.

    1. Because the whole pandemic was mishandled from the start. I blame most on Trump, but Biden blew it as well. He totally downplayed Delta and proclaimed independence from covid or so his pitch was Telling vcaccinated persons that masks were not required was a huge mistake

    2. I can’t recall if I posted the link here yesterday, but European countries are considering closing borders to The United States.

JPD, I agree. Trump got the vaccine going. But by the time it was developed, his insistence that it wasn’t serious or was fake or whatever lies he could sell to his flock, we were way too far behind the eight ball to catch up. Biden’s approach is different, but not a whole lot less irresponsible.

Governors have added to this. Many people have as well with their self serving insistence that they should not have to change their precious lives for the good of all.

  2. FDA official……plans for boosters is “confusing people” because WH announcement came before the green light from the fda

WH chief of staff double talk……we didn’t get ahead of anything …we said we would be ready by sept 20 which was projection by the senior science team

What was reported…..” Joe Biden said on Wednesday his administration planned to make Covid-19 vaccine booster shots available to all Americans starting on 20 September as infections rise from the Delta variant of the coronavirus.”

Biden is doing what corporate heads do in weather. He wants to be the first to announce something. He needs to get the hell out of it.

  3. I believe the Red Sox coronavirus outbreak is the largest in baseball this year. Makes me wonder what kinds of protocols are in place. How many of the 11 were vaccinated? Why are cases being detected 10 days after the first one was spotted in this outbreak?

Not thrilled with the vaccine-only policy of the Biden Administration. While I recognize there’s only so much it can do to promote mitigation, I’m not hearing anything right now about common sense measures. We will spawn a worse variant if we don’t watch it. We can’t just rely on vaccinations. Canada doesn’t. France doesn’t. Heck, even the UK doesn’t (they have some policies in place to prevent spread).

        1. No need for apologies. It is hard to keep up. I agree it is an excellent example of …what are we thinking

        2. Joshua. Is this hindered by the fact we don’t have single payer healthcare? I know the states refusing to report make much of this difficult. Although our own choices to not record breakthroughs as well as covid in schools is a deliberate attempt to skew the numbers.
