  1. Health officials are now recommending for everyone to get their flu shot and Covid-19 vaccine together. I recall even just last year it was best to get the two shots at least one week apart. Getting them at the same time was not recommended at all.

    1. I know most who have them together are fine. However some do not.

Pediatricians give multiple vaccines at the same time. The belief years ago was it was better to separate them in the event of a reaction.

Since i react to the covid vaccines, if I’d had both together, I would not have assumed the reaction was to that and not the flu.

This is yet another area that our evolving medical advice can fail us.

      1. This is what I think of as a responsible answer. In addition to not knowing what a person is reacting to, there isn’t enough information to know whether efficacy is effected.

And this is what I figured the reason is…..another political game to get people boosted. I wish someone, somewhere would get in front of a camera and just be truthful.

All of that said. I believe Joshua gets both at once. I know my brother is having both at once. As long as there is no downside, it should be a personal choice.

  2. Hoping someone might have insight on this. I just got over COVID (2 weeks negative) and just found out I was exposed last week at a work meeting by THREE different people over a 2-day span. Based on the recency of my infection, am I safe to assume I’m good here?

    1. I wish I could. And three people ? Joshua may not have internet yet. But hope he will see this

      So glad you are recovered

      How are your little ones?

      1. Little ones are good thanks! Now hand foot and mouth is sweeping through my daughters daycare. To be honest, I’d rather have COVID than that awful virus. Contact tracing was eliminated as part of Phase 5 reopening plan. The only reason I found out is the people took it upon themselves to reach out to me to let me know. Management just sent an email telling everyone to assume they were exposed, lol

    2. There’s now 15 confirmed cases linked to these meetings. It’s not a good look at all. Now that companies are requiring back to office work, they are also doing away with testing requirements for large gatherings/meetings and contact tracing. Two things that are even more important as we flood the offices with more people. And here’s the kicker, my meetings were at Pfizer…

  3. I finally have internet back (yay!). As soon as my internet was back – literally at the same point – I no longer had my landline phone connection (boo!). I think Verizon messed up – again – and in repairing one problem caused another. I will have to wait several more days to have all services restored. Will I get recompense? No. In fact, I will have paid for no or limited services for nearly a week.

Ace, I think you’re relatively safe from getting reinfected so soon after you last infection, UNLESS it’s one of the newer sub-variants.
