Unsettled But Not Much Rain

8:18PM

Low pressure will hang around through Tuesday then drift away at midweek, but clouds will dominate through the midweek period with a daily risk of showers, though the risk will be decreasing with time. It is still looking decent heading toward and into the Memorial Day Weekend but we probably will have to deal with the passage of a cold front at some point (most likely Saturday).

  1. Thanks tk and happy birthday, .09 so far from a moderate burst of rain this evening around 530, I’m thinking a quarter to half inch of rain for my area esp from around midnight to noon Tue, have a good night 🙂

  2. Thanks TK.
Just read Todd’s blog on BZ and he was talking about the Potenital for thunderstorms that could produce wind and hail on Saturday. I would not be making a statement like that several days out. I would wait till 48 hours prior before saying something like that.

    1. I agree Jimmy. That is a bold call so far out. Things can change a lot in 5 days including timing of the front, where the best dynamics are, etc.

  3. Could the EURO please make up its mind about Memorial Day……hot, cooler, very warm, now cooler. 🙂

    1. Don’t worry, I’ll call the EURO authorities today and get it straightened out. 🙂

  4. Good morning and Happy Birthday, Hadi!!! (I think I am correct that today is the day)

According to my gauge we had 0.05. It’s a raw 60. DP 59

      1. No I don’t have FB – you said a week or so ago on here! I hope your day is perfect. How is your little guy?

  5. .21 so far here, in last month my yard has received 6.78 inches, it’s amazing at how much fell in just 30days, also can’t believe June is next week, 8 weeks and 6 days until the 1st Patriots mini camp practices, ugh can’t wait, my kids are like is it next week dad? I’m like nope a little longer, they can’t wait either, 1 of my kids is like Hightower is going to be a monster on Defense, I can’t wait 🙂

  6. Miserable day so far. Raw with steady light rain since early this morning. I thought yesterday was supposed to be the wetter day? Yesterday was actually quite nice, even some peeks of sun till the evening. Radar has persistent slow moving areas of showers moving through now from the south and east extending pretty far out. Doesn’t look like a break anytime soon. Hopefully the afternoon gets better? 🙄

  7. I don’t find it raw at all, I’m in short sleeves and shorts and it’s very comfortable IMO, raw to me is 45 with drizzle not 62 degrees with showers 🙂

    1. I guess being outside for an extended period of time and being wet to boot, 62 degrees just doesnt warm me up enough, lol

    2. I’d agree. It felt raw in the house but muggy and wet outside. As ace master pointed out its all a matter of perspective.

      1. I’m back in the house and switching back to my comment that it’s a raw day. My rain gauge says .19 and the one on wunderground says .27 – I suspect the .27 is right.

  8. Some heavier downpours coming through, I’ve gotten .43, I’m a bit suprised on how much rain were getting today

    1. Definately more rain around today than advertised. I’ve gotten close to a half inch out here in the blackstone valley since last night.

      1. .47 here now, there seems to be a break before more scattered showers fill in this evening 🙂

  9. Happy Birthday, Hadi!

A real grey day today – but the greens of all the trees and bushes are very striking against the grey. I don’t mind the rain – too much – we need it, but my allergy has been very bad, even with the rain. I don’t understand why they say the rain cuts down the pollen. My allergy is still lousy.

Looking forward to sunnier, warmer weather in the next several days – along with a few garden-type thunderstorms! 🙂

  10. My headline could not be more wrong. I should have said something about getting more rain than expected. 😉

Not the best forecast today. This is more than “scattered showers”.
