    1. Got a jelly donut with my purchase. Saving it for later in the morning. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

  1. Thanks TK !

I like seeing warm-up and warmer in your medium and long range outlooks. I’m with OS, that the start of June has been nothing short of ridiculous.

Of course, we had some other northern latitude’s February ……. interior New England had some other southern latitude’s May and even the immediate coastline was very warm …. so, I’m not surprised anymore that, even though its early, we are 10-15F below normal for June.

  2. I’ll say one thing: It sure is nice so far today, that is until either
the Freakin EAST wind kicks in and/or Clouds develop. Other than that
possibility it is beautiful out. No coat today. Left the house and it was 55 which
Is nice in the morning. I see NOTHING but BLUE sky out there at the moment.

Well I guess I said more than 1 thing. Oh well, such is life.

    TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. There’s hope showing up on these models for summer warmth to return. Hopefully, they don’t change in the coming days.

First agreed upon date (12z GFS and 12z EURO) looks like next Thursday, the 11th.

Both have 850 mb temps at 15C or higher, a nearly 582 dm ridge and w-sw flow at the surface.

    1. Nice write up.

Eric or whomever is on tonight has a 90F for both Thursday and Friday of next week.

      1. Well ducky. In the meantime I will thoroughly enjoy today. What a beauty. Perfect weather

        1. Love this, loved the cold/wet start to the month, will love the heat that will be returning, and everything in between, as if that would be a surprise to you. πŸ˜‰

      1. Thanks TK. Hopefully we can put a good dent into that temp deficit in the coming weeks as much as I don’t like HHH. Any indicator to the upcoming summer or just a blip?

        1. That was a little extreme but it was the perfect set-up given the still-cold water.

The Summer pattern is going to be previewed nicely next week, starting Monday.

    1. Nice. Saw Bryan Adams up close in a solo Acoustic set several years ago
at the Paradise. He was totally awesome. I am not generally into country, but I really do like Jason Aldean. Saw the 2 of them on a Crossover show on VH1
I think. They were spectacular together. Really nice Bran Adams/Jason Aldean interview as part of that show.

  4. Looking for something to keep an eye on. Monday SPC has general thunderstorm outlook for us in SNE.
    But this COULD change

Sun struggling to break through here in central Bristol County, MA…

(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction by the Stones released in the US, 50 years ago today, June 6, 1965…Greatest rock song EVAH!

Much more solemn anniversary today…D-Day, June 6, 1944. Remembering and thanking those fought, served and sacrificed. God bless you…

    1. Saw the stones at the old Boston Garden in November, 1965.

Although my dad was not part of the initial landing at Normandy, he was
in a follow up landing and marched all the way to Germany. He wouldn’t talk
much about the war, but near his passing he talked much about it. Horrifying stuff, believe me.

  7. Buoy temperatures are

    Boston Buoy: 50.7
    Stellwagen: 51.1

It is now June 6th. These temperatures are lagging behind and are COLD.

I thought we were getting into good shape into May and then Kaboom!!!

      1. Over the years I have learned to trust you very much.
You are damn good at this IF no one has ever told you. πŸ˜€

        1. Well thank you OS, but believe me I still let myself down plenty of times.

I don’t think we’re diving into a super hot pattern right away but it won’t be all that bad either. In a way we got very lucky around Boston in May with the warmth, given how cold the ocean still is. You knew pay-back would come eventually and we’re in it now. But this weather pattern and the upcoming pattern does not favor it being overly chilly, so little by little the water will warm and the impact of it will lessen.

          1. Yup. Let us hope so. This past week was pretty bad for sure. Last few days MUCH better back from the coast than portrayed at that piss-hole Logan where NO ONE lives!!! Didn’t hit 60 at Logan, while here about 5-6 miles away it was at least well into the 60s and quite pleasant.
