No Big Changes Into Midweek, More Optimistic For Late Week

4:35PM

Here is an update on the forecast for the Boston area, reflecting no major changes in thinking through Thursday, despite some forecasts of clearing on Wednesday. Not buying that yet. I am, however, slightly more encouraged by what I see regarding the end of the week. I’ll slide toward a more optimistic solution for this update but confidence is still on the low side.

THROUGH WEDNESDAY: Mostly cloudy. Patchy drizzle and a few periods of rain, with the greatest chance for periods of rain coming from later Tuesday to midday Wednesday. Lows 51 to 56. Highs 56 to 61. Wind NE to N 5 to 15 mph with higher gusts.

THURSDAY: Clearing. Low 54. High 77.

FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy. Low 58. High 75.

SATURDAY: Partly sunny. Low 56. High 77.

SUNDAY: Partly cloudy. Low 57. High 81.

  1. As I always say, “fwiw” the latest 14-day CPC outlook is for slightly above normal temps and near normal rainfall. I do believe that this stretch of damp and extremely chilly weather is going to be over for good after this week and that this upcoming summer is going to end up as plain ol’ “normal”. I also have a good feeling that this time around cold fronts will actually mean business in terms of bringing us nice, cool air perhaps even “chilly” on occasion as well as thunderstorms (hopefully not too severe). Last summer, most cold fronts really dragged along with little precip and not cooling us off until a good 24-48+ hours after their passage.

Let us hope that the foghorn at the Garden tonight blows loud and often and that the horn in Vancouver remains ever so “silent” come Wednesday night!

    Go Bruins!! 🙂

  2. Home team has one every game in this series so if you are a betting person you would place your bet on the Bruins. Its amazing they are down 3-2 considering Boston has more goals in this series but that is hockey for you.

  3. Good forecast for Saturday. Hope it stays constant as I get to celebrate my birthday :). Oh and also fathers day!!!

    Go Bs

  4. Looks like I get to tweak things yet again, improving Wednesday, making Friday a bit worse. Still encouraged on the weekend though. 🙂

  5. At least we are not talking severe weather this week. As I was saying the other day so much for The Farmers’ Almanac Prediction between June 16th-19th of severe thunderstorms especially New England. Its good entertainment to read their posts just like the trolls on the BZ blog.
