  1. How are we ever going to get out from under Covid with the
ineffective leadership in the White House? Answer: we can’t
until Jan. 20th at the earliest, unless the American people go
brain dead and re-elect this imbecile!

  2. Latest tweet from the Idiot in chief

Flu season is coming up! Many people every year, sometimes over 100,000, and despite the Vaccine, die from the Flu. Are we going to close down our Country? No, we have learned to live with it, just like we are learning to live with Covid, in most populations far less lethal!!!

    1. How many people die from the flu each year in the U.S.?
      ANSWER

The number of people who die each year from flu-related causes in the U.S. is 8,200 to 20,000.

      1. And in just eight months, Covid-19 has killed more people than the flu did during the last five flu seasons combined.
As for Trump’s claim that the flu kills “sometimes over 100,000” people a year, CDC data from 1976 to 2007 and from 2010 until now show that’s not even close. -CNN

        1. Always nice to see you.

Sadly, you are right. But his lies are believed. I have never seen anything like this

      1. Absolutely.
There is a MAD MAN in the white house and sadly too many people do not see it.
He should be removed from office!

          1. I really have no words other than Woodward and Bernstein are two men who should be heard and understood.

    1. Good for them is right, JJ. My son in law was telling me some Boston colleges are putting kids in hotels. My first reaction was that they could go anywhere or do anything. I was wrong. Apparently, they are being supervised. The plus side is also that they are not all sharing a bathroom and also hotels that are hurting are getting some income. Sure seems to be a great idea.

  3. If I heard correctly, there will be plexiglass between the candidates. Also the spacing will be at least 12 feet apart. I believe masks will be mandatory this time as well.

I expect this VP debate will be quite civil compared to the Presidential. Both candidates appear to be much more “even-tempered”.

Much looking forward to this one!

I will be rooting for Kamala but I expect VP Pence to at least be respectful during the event compared to his “boss”.

  4. We are living in a bizarre world where companies like Facebook and Twitter are more reliable than the president of the US. This is concerning Trump’s statements about Covid-19 vs. flu that JpDave quoted above:

Facebook on Tuesday removed a post from President Donald Trump that appeared to downplay the severity of COVID-19 by comparing it to the seasonal flu.

The same post remains on Twitter, though it has been hit with a label on the platform identifying it as “spreading misleading and potentially harmful information related to COVID-19.”

  5. Empathy is innate in some, but is mostly something handed down or inculcated by parents. I’m afraid Trump wasn’t lucky enough to have parents who instilled in him even a shred of empathy. Rather, the opposite may have been true, as altruism, empathy, and sensitivity were, in Fred Sr.’s mind, for “losers.”

This clip of Amanda Kloots talking about Trump’s underhanded message is instructive. Amanda lost her husband Nick Cordero (41, – Broadway actor – to Covid-19. He spent 95 days in the hospital.

    1. This has me in tears. I was told I am a hypocrite when I mentioned on a friends post (not by friend) how this has to impact the families of those who lost their lives. How can people support this. I try not to post much on my page. I will share this.

      1. It’s good to share that clip. It’s real. It’s heartfelt. I also shed some tears. They have a child who will never really know his Dad. https://www.playbill.com/article/broadways-nick-cordero-and-amanda-kloots-welcome-first-child

And, though I’ve promised I wouldn’t be political and have broken that promise, I will share with you a short clip of Biden. By the way, I’m not a fan of Biden. I didn’t vote for him in the primary. But, he’s as real as it gets. He’s also normal. Gosh, do I pine for normal. And I like his wife. What a breath of fresh air she will be compared to the snow leopard Melania (who scares the shit out of me), if Biden wins the presidency. We’ll see. https://twitter.com/BelkissObadia/status/1313577531010879489

  6. Is Rudy G sick? He was coughing up a storm twice on Fox News.

What’s up with Hope Hicks? Nothing from her. No tweets or anything. I know she got pretty sick last week. Is she still sick?

Christie in still hospitalized. Of all the people infected I worry most about him.

I also worry about the WH staff who’ve gotten it and passed it on to their elders in multigenerational homes.

    1. We are not hearing anything about anyone except trump. I also worry about Christie.

Rudy G was with others and coughing?

Pence And team do not want plexiglass at debate.
