  1. Thanks TK for the update. I noticed that the AO and NAO go negative briefly between now and the end of the month then shooting right back up again.

I guess I should keep my winter coat handy at least another week, huh? 😉

    1. The fact that the Euro has hinted at it being cold enough for snow in parts of New England (at least interior and mountains) around next Sunday should not be ignored. As stated here many times, except by Charlie (just kidding!), it can and does snow in the Spring, and often within a warm overall pattern.

      1. With the exception of the 1970 Easter snowstorm, I certainly remember well the other more recent March/April snow events. Keep us posted in the coming days TK! 🙂

      2. I have been watching that euro, and I do think it can and might snow at end of month but just not around here, I’m thinking southern and central nh northward get the snow, not near us though, take it easy everyone:)

  2. Thanks TK ! Up to an unbelievable 43F atop Mt. Washington and 71F at the base of the mountain. It’s also 71F at Watertown NY and in the low 70s in Buffalo. Great to have the sun back today !

  3. Thanks, TK. Really beautiful day today. We took a long walk today and enjoyed the sun and the clear blue sky. Not surprised that there is a possibility of snow nxt. Sun. I am not giving up on winter until mid-May.

  4. Logan at 70F at 2pm….Mt Washington up to 45F. Going to guess that with full sun, SW wind and continued warming above, that highs still have maybe another 2 to 3F to add on and will be reached around 3:30 pm ?

  5. Wow what a day. Even the light breeze feels warm. And there is an extra brightness about it since we have grand baby #3 literally on the way !!!

      1. Also as mentioned some of the biggest spring snowstorms have come after a warming trend. I hope not. I will say there is that chance till April 5th.

  6. This is going to be a fun weather week…..

First tomorrow, I’m looking forward to watching the coastal temps, especially if they can get mild in the morning. Love when the back door fronts come thru in the middle of the day and there are big temp drops.

Wed-Thursday time frame…..how warm will it get ? Today, it got to near 80F in southern NH, Mt Washington was 45F to 47F. For a time Wed-Thurs, the temps aloft look to be even a bit warmer than today……..85F-88F maybe ?

Beautiful day down here today, warmth made it all the way to the beaches. This is too good !

  7. Fantastic day tom, did running around in tshirt today. I still wonder if there is that remote chance of somewhere hitting 90 late week.

    1. No 90+. Upper levels not likely to be nearly warm enough. Somebody will get to 83 on Wednesday or Thursday. That should be the maximum. By Friday we’ll be crashing temps and this will continue through the weekend.

    2. 83F sounds great to me !!

I drove to the sea wall and there were only a few spaces available. Quite a few people walking the beach, even a few with chairs sitting……sat in the sun for about half an hour myself. Calm ocean, offshore breeze, strong sun…it was great !

  8. Ugghh…Tick season already (or maybe they never went away). I was just out back check antenna connections on a couple of my larger loop antennas (50×110 ft). Only out about 5 minutes or so…came back in a found two crawling on me. Why can’t they make frontline for humans 🙂

    1. Yes, one of my daughter’s had one pulled off her within the last week, and I forget if it was ch 4, 5 or 7, but it did a segment about a week ago and a scientist took a sheet of sticky material and moved it through your avg set of bushes and it came out with several ticks on it. I recall that he said that while ticks can be around all year, they are around in larger amts this spring due to all of the mild air this winter.

  9. TK – would it be ok if I ask you a question via email? You have my email address and I would rather ask you via email? Thanks!

      1. Fwiw (probably zilch)….BAILEYMAN over on the WBZ blog has a snow event for the 29th or 30th. He posted it last week as well. Even if it is a troll, maybe it shouldn’t be totally ignored??

      2. Hey John… I don’t see a widespread snowfall happening. I think if anyone is going to deal with one last round
of wintry precipitation it would be the elevated areas of SNE.

    1. Welcome back. Sounds like it may have been a little hot. Hadi what is the longest time I can go till I book Boston to Bermuda for hopefully July 6th. Getting close and money is tight.

  10. Welcome back Hadi.

And this nana is proud to say Kailey Victoria has arrived. Mom and baby are doing very well!

      1. Thanks everyone. No just dad was in delivery room. I was helping my other daughter take care of big sister and big cousin. But we were there within minutes. Thanks rainshine. I really like the name Kailey.

    1. That is great. What a nice time of year for the baby to come, summer right around the corner. My son was born in April. Were you in the delivery room.

  11. It was 78 degrees in billerica today. It felt warmer in the sun. I went biking today and it was really crowded. The beach next to the pond was filled with people. actually in swimsuits bathing in the sun and even some in the water. I put my feet in not that bad. The water will warm up even more and then crash at the end of the week. a cool snap . Its going to be mother natures april fools joke.

  12. Congrats!!

John it depends on the cabin type you want I would say by months ends is probably good if you are looking for a specific type, if you don’t care then you can wait.

  13. Thursday 81 degrees?!?!!?! I think I see ice cream in my future…

Maybe I should be a “sunday” forecaster…HA-HA-HA get it??? XD

    1. Worst. Joke. Ever. There I said it. 😛

Yes, Thursday will be an ice cream kind of day.
