Monday November 2 2026 Forecast (7:18AM)

DAYS 1-5 (NOVEMBER 2-6)

High pressure drifts offshore to our south and east today through Wednesday with fair, mild weather. After this, a trough approaches from the west along with an initial surface low passing to our north later Thursday into Friday, bringing in a lot of clouds and eventual shower activity, especially as the front slows down near (probably just west of) the region on Friday, a day that will be mild and humid with waves of shower activity.

TODAY: Sun / cloud mix. Highs 63-70. Wind SW 5-15 MPH.

TONIGHT: Variably cloudy. Lows 45-52. Wind SW 5-15 MPH.

TUESDAY: Partly sunny. Highs 65-72. Wind SW 5-15 MPH.

TUESDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy. Patchy fog. Lows 47-54. Wind SW under 10 MPH.

WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs 67-74. Wind SW 5-15 MPH.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy. Patchy fog. Lows 48-55. Wind S up to 10 MPH.

THURSDAY: Partly to mostly cloudy. Late-day rain shower potential. Highs 65-72. Wind S 5-15 MPH.

THURSDAY NIGHT: Cloudy. Rain showers likely. Areas of fog. Lows 52-59. Wind S 5-15 MPH.

FRIDAY: Cloudy. Episodes of rain showers. Highs 60-67. Wind S 5-15 MPH, higher gusts South Coast.

DAYS 6-10 (NOVEMBER 7-11)

As a trough moves eastward through the region over the November 7-8 weekend, I expect lingering unsettled weather with lots of clouds and a shower chance November 7 with a wind shift and cool-down. Surface high pressure noses in with fair weather by November 8. Watching for a quick-moving system to bring additional unsettled weather early next week before a trend back to fair toward Veterans Day, although forecast confidence drops notably during this period due to how far into the future it is along with medium range model inconsistencies.

DAYS 11-15 (NOVEMBER 12-16)

Unsettled potential early period, then a trend back to drier. Temperatures near to above normal.

  1. Good morni g and thank you TK.

    45 up from 43

    Ocean: 55

    Wordle: 5

    YAY Pats
Drake Maye looked pretty good yesterday. I hope Hunter Henry is ok, especially with the number of receivers injured.

Green Bay next. Should be an interesting game.

  2. Thanks TK !

    Wordle: 3

Nothing on the 1st guess, 4 letters in the correct spot with the 2nd guess. Funny how it goes sometimes.

My take on the Pats is they put another tally in the win column and bought themselves 7 days to get, hopefully, some injured players, healthy.

    1. A bit WARM, don’t you think?

When is the last time you saw 3 or 4 consecutive days in the 70s during November? I am sure it has happened, but don’t you think it is a tad unusual?

      1. Very …… current El Nino having some effect, no doubt.

Still love it, no frost to have to wait to melt to take off to be to work on-time.

        Savings on expensive heat costs.

Not needing 9 layers of clothing to stay warm.

        Love it 🙂 🙂 🙂

        1. I have yet to wear a jacket when venturing outside. Truth be told, I have NOT been out in the morning, ONLY in the afternoon. 🙂

  3. Thanks Tk . I came back to work today after being off for 5 weeks , feeling normal again . Enjoy the day today everyone.

  4. I have been reading on a few aviation and weather sites, that the private jet in Florida, unfortunately flew through one of those thunderstorms on its approach.

The height of the storm was 45,000 ft. They were at 35,000 ft and perhaps they even tried to climb to get above it before they started to plummet out of the sky.

  5. Thanks TK! Meant to respond on your blog yesterday but too busy yelling at the Jets again. Another awful loss. Was going to say I just know we will be getting a snowstorm during your procedure in January. Glad you are getting that and if such a storm will occur the WoodsHill Blog community will carry us through!

  6. Hot off the presses, Nov 2nd Nino region anomolies

    Region 1 and 2 : +4.6C

Region 3: Up to a new max anomoly of +3.7C

    Region 3.4: +2.5C

The CFS nino 3.4 anomaly projection is downward going forward, but …… not as fast downward, in my opinion, as it was just a few weeks ago.

Its JFM (jan, feb, mar) outlook for nino 3.4 is still at +1.5C and doesn’t get to neutral in that area now until AMJ (April, May, June)

      1. pages 30 and 31, we are amongst a few small parts of the Country, along with the Pacific NW, that has been reasonably close to average.

The rest of the country, above average and some parts of the Country, well above average

  7. Thank you TK! High School football playoffs start this week and hoping we don’t get fully soaked for our game on Friday.

Wordle: Joining the crowded 3 car today. Made up for yesterday’s 6 that I forgot to post here.

    1. At least the multiple hurricanes that formed off the immediate Mexico coastline left a small blob of churned up, cooler than average waters.

  8. Thanks, TK!

Caught AJ Mastrangelo last night on Fox25 at 10 who reported that this current streak of dry weather is now tied for fourth longest dry streaks since 2000.

    According to AJ:

    1) August-September, 2024 29 days
    2) September, 2020 and August-September, 2008 17 days
    4) March, 2021, August, 2013 and October-November, 2026 16 days

Sue, who does SL play? Did Woburn make this playoffs this fall, TK?

    Glad you’re feeling better, SSK!!!

Leo Messi was at Gillette Stadium last night with Inter Miami. More than 54,000 fans game out for the match. Messi continues to prove he’s the greatest to ever play the game with the game-winner for Miami:

    1. Hi Captain! Silver Lake is playing Marshfield. We already played them once and lost but we hung in there with them. Hoping for a miracle lol.

  9. I would be curious if we get close to record highs this week. Awhile ago I walked down the street to my CVS (meds) and it was definitely SUMMERLIKE!

Are we in the midst of “Indian Summer”? I never hear the term much anymore from tv mets.

    1. It’s actually kind of racist if you think about it. The Cleveland Indians changed their name as did the Washington Red Skins.

We should come up with a better name….

I can’t think of anything clever, but I am sure someone can.

      Something along the lines of
      SUMMER RENEWED
      SUMMER PLUS
      SUMMER ADDENDUM
      FOOL’S SUMMER
      GOTCHA SUMMER

I don’t know, I am sure others here could come up with a name.

Nothing really clever comes to my mind. 🙂

      1. I never thought the term as racist. How is it then that the Kansas City Chiefs are still able to keep their name? Atlanta Braves? Florida State Seminoles?

        1. I do agree with Washington Redskins as racist. I guess the term “Indian” no longer applies to any people. I’ll have to remember that.

      2. It probably doesn’t surprise anybody that I have an opinion on changing names or removing statues. The way we pick and choose what to rename or what to take down simply doesn’t make any sense to me.

One example. The mass shooting at mother Emanuel church in Charleston , South Carolina, resulted in at least one Civil War statue being taken down.

The church where the shooting occurred was on Calhoun Street. John Calhoun was a huge influence on the start of the Civil War due to his strong pro slavery stance. Yet that street remains the same name.

I have always felt that if we remove our history, we will just repeat it.
