The Week Ahead

1:17AM

A narrow area of high pressure will provide very nice weather for southern New England today. This will give way to approaching low pressure Tuesday which will drag a slow moving frontal system to the East Coast. This front will then stall near the coast and allow a couple waves of low pressure to move up along it, keeping unsettled weather, which arrives on Tuesday, going through the middle of the week. Timing of rainy periods is a little uncertain, so some short-term updates will be necessary to nail these down. For now, plan on wet weather any time during the Tuesday-Thursday period. By Friday, all of this should be exiting and hopefully setting the stage for nice weather for next weekend.

  1. Thanks TK!!
Hoping that forecast holds for the weekend!! If the baby is not here by Sunday then the Lillac Festival at the arboretum in JP. If you have never gone, you should bc it’s a great way to celebrate mothers day!

    1. Hadi, love the Arboretum! My girlfriend lives in West Roxbury and we go there quite a bit

  2. It’s not looking good for golf tomorrow late afternoon. Doesn’t help that the head of my company league will cancel at any sign of rain though, lol

    1. Is head of your league related to head of my husband’s? He’s still trying to figure why it was called off last week.

  3. Took a ride down to Plymouth Harbor during my lunch today and it was beautiful. Nice to see some of the boats back in the water.

    1. I was on a phone conf and read this. So I pretended I was looking out my window at Plymouth Harbor 🙂

  4. Did anyone catch the NWS today saying the EURO keeps a closed low just off the coast until early next week. They are calling it an extreme solution for now. I hope that it is not the case :).

    1. Saturday may be stuck in the dump, but Sunday definitely looks like a very nice day.

  5. .35-.75 that’s it starting Tue and off and on till Thu, I do believe we have many shots for rain going through mid May 🙂
