Holiday Weekend Update

10:12AM

I should have made a note that the Euro model was picking up on a minor upper level disturbance that may add some clouds and a remote chance of a few showers on Sunday. This will certainly not ruin what will be a great Labor Day Weekend, however! Don’t cancel any plans you have.

Isaac’s remains, if they are even identifiable as such, will pass through in pieces after the weekend is done. The timing for this moisture is likely Tuesday into Wednesday. This represents a slight change in that the moisture will be a little slower in arriving than I indicated on my previous forecast. It is also evident that the “possible” cool/dry shot of air for the middle of next week is no longer in the cards, and that it will probably be somewhat muggy and unsettled through Thursday as trailing trough comes along behind the Isaac moisture. Details far from being known for all of this, you’ll just see a more unsettled end to the forecast than you did on the previous one. In the mean time, enjoy a great weekend!

  1. Thanks TK. Enjoy your weekend. It sounds like you have some fun stuff planned. We have two cookouts to go to today and then a relatively quiet rest of the weekend. Next Friday our puppy gets here from a shelter in Indiana. Then it is puppy training time and less sleep for a while!

    1. Awwww. A puppy. What kind. How did you find the shelter. I’m always curious about how to go about getting a puppy long distance

      1. My wife found it on-line. The shelter is registered in NH and RI. We have to pick her up next Friday night at 10pm in RI. She is a puggle and will be about 14 weeks. So far the adoption process has been good, now we just have to pick her up.

  2. Thanks tk, just thankful its Sept, I’ll take 70’s-80 degrees over 80’s-90 like a month ago 🙂

    1. Another month and it will be 60’s-70 instead of 70’s-80 haha just stating the obvious sorry 🙂

      1. That’s quite alright Charlie. I state the obvious all the time. 😉 I always enjoy your posts. And I’d rather you state the obvious than insult someone. You just state your opinions. You don’t insult anyone. That’s fine with me. 🙂

  3. Happy Labor Day Wekend everyone! At a wedding in Mystic, CT and it was a lot warmer down here than I expected, around 85 all day and humid. Just starting to cool down as I’m enjoying a beer along the water

    1. It will be interesting to watch but I still feel she stays east of them. Rough surf is a lock though, even this far out.

  4. Gloucester was beautiful. A touch cool (enough for a light jacket in the evening), but very pleasant. Nice boat parade and decent fireworks display.

On to Newburyport MA & Hampton Beach NH tomorrow afternoon and evening. Shouldn’t see more than a spot shower which would fade by sunset.

I will update briefly in the morning, if necessary, and a full update will follow later at night.

    1. Sounds fun TK. Are the events right in Gloucester harbor and is it difficult to find parking and viewing of the ship parade?

      1. Many of them are. Parking can be a bit of an issue. Last night I parked on 133 and walked about 1/4 mile to the bridge on 127.

  5. Happy Labor Day Weekend all! and a fine weekend it is 🙂
Anyone’s take on Leslie, and what the chances are that she could pay the NE a little visit?

    1. Happy Labor day weekend shotime!! From what I’m reading TK feels she’ll stat east of Bermuda but I’m just parroting and will let those in the know answer better.

    2. I don’t see a direct here in New England with Leslie. I think if we see anything wave action is going to be about it.

  6. My first day at school is on muggy rainy Thursday….

Since I will be in Gloucester should i be wearing pants and a sweatshirt? Or capri pants?
