H For The Win

9:37PM

Low pressure stays close enough to provide lots of clouds into Friday and even some light rain near the South Coast. High pressure to the north will then win the battle and force the low away to the south, but the arrival of the high pressure area will produce an northeast wind that will add lots of low clouds to the sky for Saturday before drier air finally gives more sun by Sunday. So overall, it’s an improving picture, but with some patience required. This is a long holiday weekend for some, with Monday being Columbus Day. At this point, the weather looks decent that day.

Forecast for southeastern New England…

TONIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy dominated by high &  middle clouds, along with a chance of a few periods of light rain especially near the South Coast. Some sun possible Friday especially during the afternoon. Lows tonight upper 40s to lower 50s. Highs Friday in the 60s, coolest at the coast. Wind E to NE 5-15 MPH.

FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY: Mostly cloudy dominated by low clouds. Chance of a little drizzle especially eastern coastal areas late Saturday. Lows in the 50s. Highs 60-65. Wind NE 10-20 MPH.

SUNDAY: Mostly sunny. Low 47. High 64.

MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY: Fair weather daily. Lows 40s to around 50. Highs in the 60s.

  1. Thanks TK. Off to a Fair in CT on Sunday at my In-Laws and then off on Monday! Small fair but our annual tradition and fun!

    1. No the Riverton Fair in NW CT. Very small but a family tradition on my wife’s side for a long time. The kids enjoy the rides too.

  2. Tk, thank you.

Actually a balmy 45-46 degrees atop Mt Washington right now. Must be some warm air aloft.

  3. I am the proud parent of triplets!! Their names are…kentucky bluegrass, ryegrass, and tall fescue! 😀

    1. Awwwww Congratulations, Ace!!! What lovely names you have chosen!

I cannot believe how fast ours is growing. I see it more in the total dirt area where we dug up the plants to turn it into lawn. It went from dirt color to green overnight!

        1. Lucic really wanted to fight that kid lastnight. The kid must have said please don’t hit me because I think lucic used all his energy not to engage and just ended up shoving him.

  4. What a spectacular day. If my allergies don’t kick into overdrive which they seem to want to do in the afternoon/evening, I’m planning on a fire outside tonight. On another – nonweather note – my daughter’s family has the flu. And it seems particularly nasty this year. It sure seems early to be here but pediatrician said they are seeing lots of it.

  5. Is there some sort of creature eating maple leaves? I just noticed that my two “healthy” maples that have yet to have one leaf turn also have a bunch of chewed up leaves.

  6. As of today, Henry Margusity is still on the east coast storm watch for next week. He still believes something will get going off the SE coast. I certainly hope he is 100% wrong. 😀
