Weekend Forecast & A Look Into Next Week

7:56PM

Just updating the forecast based on the latest info. No long discussion this time. But noting that the weather will be important to several outdoor events this weekend, including Yankee Homecoming Week activities in Newburyport MA, which includes fireworks at Cashman Park Saturday night, and another fireworks display in Beverly MA on Sunday. And of course, the Pan Mass Challenge.

Saturday looks like the driest day, and the best beach day, though not perfect as there will be fair amount of clouds mixed with some sun. Sunday stands the greater chance of wet weather over a larger area, but there is some chance that the heaviest rain may be more to the south and also very early in the day. Some computer models show additional heavier rain later in the day. Based on the uncertainty, there forecast will be worded with more generality with room for update later.

  1. TK thanks for the update as always! You forgot the Sox-Yankees series this weekend. There is game #2 late Saturday afternoon (4:15 pm) and Sunday night (8:05 pm). The winner of this series probably wins the AL east and the loser wins the WildCard for all practical purposes even though we still have 1 1/2+ months to go. We will see what ultimately happens. Very surprising that there is no other challenge for the AL Wild Card this year. I can’t recall that ever happening. Is Sunday’s game the only one in jeopardy for a rain delay? Regardless, have a good weekend everyone! 🙂

    1. Yes, that was an omission, though I didn’t completely forget, since I was listening to the game as I updated. I guess my wording gets me out of it, though, since I mentioned many events, including the ones I singled out. Details details. 😉

    1. I don’t think it will turn out to be a terrible week, Hadi. Just may have to tweak plans a bit around the weather. Sometimes that’s easy to do if you’re in the area and doing day trips, much like my vacations are. Enjoy your week!

  2. The one thing good about the summer is it rarely rains all day.
Thunderstorm Index just at 1 this weekend since there could be some embedded thunderstorms but I don’t see anything severe.

  3. Tom, I am the biggest Momma’s Boy I know of. My heart goes out to you and your family. May your Mom rest in peace my friend.

  4. Why am I having this feeling framingham isn’t going to see a lot of rain. I keep seeing holes open up??
