  1. You found another format or played around with combining a couple of them???
Not sure what to make of this one as I’ll need to see some posts and see how
the threads go. Initial thoughts….not too bad.

    1. Looked back at yesterday’s which of course is now under this new format. Nesting looks pretty cool.

  2. Joshua. Don’t know if you listened to the Governor this am. He is clearly not pleased with WHO. For reasons you name. He also said the concussion cams from and small sampling. Just irresponsible IMO.

      1. unfortunately, the damage is done. Folks who want to believe the report – even though Maria Van Kerkhove herself said she had not intended what was reported (as you so accurately suspected) – will believe it because it is what they want to hear.

  3. Re wearing masks: I have always been puzzled as to how a person feeling ZERO symptoms can still carry a virus. I can only imagine the number of infections that can occur with a full blown “sick” person.

With these continued protests and even non-participants who remove masks just to relieve themselves from hot weather, it could be an interesting trial this summer. Just from my personal experience, even in moderately warm temps wearing a mask can start to get quite uncomfortable.

Perhaps we can (at least temporarily) remove our masks?

  4. U.S. Covid-19 deaths are actually above 113,000 and counting.

WHO has not communicated well throughout the pandemic. It’s really too bad.

It’s better to be cautious. Perhaps the best example of this is when Maria Van Kerkhove of WHO said she thought right away in late December when the Chinese first told WHO about the novel coronavirus that it could be transmitted human to human. Yet, she and others failed to say this in tweets and other ways.

Philip, I’m not a clinician or pathologist. But, from what I understand is that the virus can infect you – latch onto you, if you will, and replicate – and not make you sick. It’s not that unusual. These people are classified as asymptomatic. Estimates range from 16-40%. There are other viruses that do this. Each person’s immune system works differently. Some people, therefore, are more susceptible to getting sick from a virus than others. Similarly, each person’s degree of severity of illness may be different. Then there are the presymptomatic. People who have the virus inside them and it’s incubating and about to make them sick. This is actually the way it is with practically any illness. I believe the presymptomatic have more shedding of the virus than asymptomatic.
