  2. i am really liking this summer. I still think my 16 ,90+ degree days will be close. we are up to 8 here in billerica.

  3. Looks like we will be melting at the outdoor wedding we are attending tomorrow in Falmouth. Hope the beer is cold! John…welcome back and so glad you enjoyed your cruise. I stopped by Black Falcon today to see if I could see any of our old friends but didn’t have any luck. Wish I could have stowed away in someone’s luggage!

  4. Good Morning WHW Crew! Currently siting at the barber shop in Quincy, noticed a couple of drops on the windshield. Funny how this summer has flipped. I seemed I needed to cut my lawn twice a week during the last month. Now it appears to be browning up a bit. At te same time my vegetables have really taken off this week! Also my sunflowers ate doing incredible and are about to bloom. I have one approaching 11′ tall while the rest ate between 8′ and 10′. I wish I could send you a picture of them. I have a wedding tonight on Cutty Hunk Island, My first time going there and I’m looking forward to it.

When do the long range predictions come out of this up comin winter? I know I know too early!

My turn on the chair, everyone enjoy your weekend and watch out for those mosquitoes!

  5. Today’s AccuWeather Trivia Quiz.
The Aurora Borealis occurs in what level of the atmosphere?
    A. Stratosphere
    B. Troposhere
    C. Ionosphere
    D. Mesophere

    1. Hmmmm…… C ??? πŸ™‚

Enjoy tonight Coastal. I think I’ve seen a CPC outlook on temps that projects a better chance of above normal temps for the coming winter……I know I’m thinking cooler and would enjoy one night of camping in temps that briefly fell into the upper 30s to 40s. I read in USA Today that Sarenac Lake, NY fell to 37F earlier in the week with the low dewpoints, so I’m hoping for something like that in the Adirondacks next week.

      1. I think they maybe basing that on a moderate El Nino. I was saying the other day I still think temps for the winter
will run above normal but not like last winter and snowfall still will be below normal but not as much as last winter.
I am hoping for a weak El Nino because I was reading something the other day that when we have a weak El Nino
there is a 70-75% chance of a colder and snowier winter.

    2. A stratosphere. What’s the lowest level? That’s the one my husband is going with

      Thanks for these longshot.

  6. Enjoyncoastal. Nice to see you here. Have missed seeing your name

We had strong winds and then light rain for a bit. Husband will mow lawn today for first time in two weeks Front is toast but gets solid sun. Back not bad at all.
