DAYS 1-5 (JULY 31 – AUGUST 4)
Upper level low pressure and a weakened surface companion will finally depart to our east today, but enough unstable air on the back side of it can still help initiate a few pop-up showers this afternoon with the help of the sun’s heating, but those will be the exception and not the rule – just keep an eye out if you have outdoor plans. High pressure builds in tonight and Saturday with fair weather, then slides offshore Sunday with continued mainly fair weather, though more clouds, with an increase in humidity levels too. Monday, a frontal system drifts into the region from the west, with high humidity and shower / t-storm chances, and some of the latest indications are that this will be a rather slow-to-leave system and may hang around enough so that a weak low pressure area that develops to our south and west, with the front still in our area, works its way along that boundary to give additional shower chances to us on Tuesday. Confidence is not as high as I’d like it to be in this part of the forecast, so please check future updates.
TODAY: A sun / cloud mix. A pop-up shower possible this afternoon. Highs 73-80. Dew point holds 60+. Wind N to variable up to 10 MPH.
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy, then clearing. Patchy ground fog. Lows 60-67. Dew point near 60. Wind variable up to 10 MPH.

SATURDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy. Patchy fog. Lows 62-69. Dew point 60+. Wind S up to 10 MPH.

SUNDAY NIGHT: Partly to mostly cloudy. Areas of fog. Lows 63-70. Dew point 60s. Wind S 5-15 MPH.

MONDAY NIGHT / TUESDAY: Variably cloudy. Showers and thunderstorms possible. Lows 65-72. Highs 73-80. Dew point 65+. Wind variable up to 10 MPH.
DAYS 6-10 (AUGUST 5-9)
Transition to a more classic summer pattern with high pressure off the Atlantic Coast, moderate to high humidity, and a few shower and thunderstorm chances while most of the time is rain-free. Temperatures near to above normal.
DAYS 11-15 (AUGUST 10-14)
A general west to east flow should take a couple of troughs / fronts through with shower and t-storm chances, but with majority of the time featuring fair weather. Temperatures slightly variable but averaging around normal.
Thanks TK.

Excellent 4!!
Very nice !
Super!!
Sure is nice to see the sun today.
In marshfield, we didn’t get a splash of sun yesterday until later in the evening, so it’s been a few days.
Sun? what is that?
Well, there is a pop-up cell.

Thanks, TK.
Red Sox record through 108 games:
2026: 57 and 51
2025: 57 and 51
2024: 57 and 51
2023: 57 and 51
What are the chances of that happening??? I’d say pretty freaking REMOTE!!!!! WOW!!!
The Boston Red Sox have remarkably identical records through 108 games for four consecutive seasons, standing at 57–51 in 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026.Season-by-season breakdown through 108 games:
2026: 57–51
2025: 57–51 (lost Wild Card)
2024: 57–51 (missed playoffs)
2023: 57–51 (missed playoffs)
This has to be the strangest of the 4
32-46 followed by 25-5 to get to 57-51
Important win in Oakland last night with the next 3 at the Dodgers. Get 1 of these 3 and you’re had a winning 4-3 road trip.
That 25-5 run splits like this:
Away: 13-2 (.867)
Home: 12-3 (.800)
Crazy!
GFS and now getting some support from other models, advertising a retrograding Bermuda high middle of next week.
Warm, maybe not hot, but tropical humidity. With shower/tstorm opportunities.
It will definitely feel like deep summer.

Perhaps a multi day run, from this far out, of dps in the 60s to low/mid 70s next week.
Not unusual for early August.
If I recall correctly, the last 2 summers had a hot end to July and first few days of August and then below avg temps with a lot of low humidity during the majority of the last 2 Augusts.
Maybe this will be the reverse, where July started off well above avg, but it feels like the last 15+ days have been below avg temps with a lot of low humidity, so, perhaps this August will not be so cool and non humid.
The biggest change in the medium range to the 500 mb flow (I believe) …..
There’s been a closed low parked over the eastern half of Hudson Bay or even a bit further east of that and in that location, it has suppressed the main jet stream to be over New England or just south of New England with a NW to SE flow.
In this new possible pattern, the upper low sits further west over central Canada, which allows the jet to be much further north of New England and a flow of SW to NE which would allow for more warm/humid conditions.

Upper low in central Canada, much further west than it’s been.
Thank you TK. Wishing you the best with the consult today.
Wordle: 3
Wow! Another excellent performance.
It appears that while high heat will not be an issue, high humidity will be a part of our lives for the foreseeable future. Sigh… 🙁
Dew points 60-70++… Y-U-C-K!!!
Amen to that. I can’t stand it anymore!!!
Sure it is not hot today. it is 77 here, but the dew point is still
at 65!!! I can really feel it and it is making my wife ill. She can’t take much more of this crap!!!! give me the 5 day dry stretch like we had last week.
Thanks, TK!
Thanks TK! Sitting on beach with dark skies approaching- looks like cell is dying out. Blue skies over Martha’s Vineyard across Buzzards Bay
