Sunday Forecast

11:29AM

DAYS 1-5 (NOVEMBER 13-17)
High pressure to the south of the region brings a milder west to southwest air flow in for today and Monday with very nice weather. A small low pressure area will come up the coast Tuesday with some rain for the region. This should move away by Wednesday though clearing may be slow to occur. Fair weather returns by Thursday. With the “Super Moon” which is full early Monday, the second of 3 King Tide cycles will take place during the next few days. Coastal flooding may occur at high tide times, even without a storm around, but Tuesday’s event may increase the flooding somewhat.
THIS AFTERNOON: Mostly sunny. Highs 56-63. Wind W 5-15 MPH with higher gusts.
TONIGHT: Mostly clear. Lows 32-37 interior valleys, 38-45 elsewhere. Wind light WSW.
MONDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs 56-63. Wind SW 5-15 MPH.
MONDAY NIGHT: Increasing clouds. Lows 38-46. Wind light variable.
TUESDAY: Cloudy. Periods of rain. Highs 48-55. Wind E to NE 10-20 MPH with higher gusts possible.

DAYS 6-10 (NOVEMBER 18-22)
Fair and milder November 18-19. Unsettled weather possible in the November 20-22 period depending on the evolution of low pressure and a frontal system near the East Coast.

DAYS 11-15 (NOVEMBER 23-27)
Looking for a fairly tranquil period of weather around the Thanksgiving holiday, but low confidence forecast at this time. A storm may threaten by the end of the period.

Strong cold front passes today and brings a significant but brief shot of windy/colder weather tonight into Saturday, followed by a rapid moderation in temperature by Sunday and early next week. DAYS 6-10 (NOVEMBER 16-20)
Risk of unsettled weather at times during this period, favoring the first couple days. Unclear on the details of how this evolves yet, but will have to watch for coastal flooding either way very early in the period due to King Tides.

DAYS 11-15 (NOVEMBER 21-25)
A potentially stormy start to Thanksgiving week should give way to more tranquil conditions.

Thursday Forecast

7:25AM

DAYS 1-5 (NOVEMBER 10-14)

Risk of unsettled weather early and very late in the period with temperatures near to below normal overall.

Wednesday Forecast

2:47AM

DAYS 1-5 (NOVEMBER 9-13)
Cold front number 1 passes through the region today with lots of clouds and some rain showers. The greatest risk for rain showers will be mainly from Boston south, and a period of rain may occur later in the day over Cape Cod and the Islands as a wave of low pressure forms. A small high pressure area will move in Thursday with fair weather, and then a strong cold front will move rapidly north to south across the region during Friday, Veterans Day. This front will not have much moisture to work with but it will create quite a bit of wind during its passage and continued windy conditions afterward as cold air flows in during Friday night and into Saturday. A high pressure area to the west of the region as the chilly northerly wind occurs will then sink to the south and turn the winds to the west on Sunday when it will warm up slightly.
TODAY: Mostly cloudy with a passing rain shower morning and midday Boston-Providence corridor northwest, then a better chance of showers to the southeast midday and afternoon. Highs 50-58. Wind light W to NW.
TONIGHT: Clearing. Lows 28-35. Wind NW 5-15 MPH.
THURSDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs 48-55. Wind W 5-15 MPH.
FRIDAY: Sun early, a period of clouds and perhaps a passing rain shower from north to south, then clearing later. Lows 27-35. Highs 50-58 but turning colder later.
SATURDAY: Partly cloudy. Windy. Lows 25-34. Highs 42-50.
SUNDAY: Mostly sunny. Breezy. Lows 25-34. Highs 50-58.

DAYS 6-10 (NOVEMBER 14-18)
Fair and milder early in the period. There remains some uncertainty about the evolution of the next low pressure area mid to late period. Leaning toward a progressive system with some rain showers followed by dry weather again at the very end of the period. But cannot rule out a slower-moving system around November 17.

DAYS 11-15 (NOVEMBER 19-23)
Still have low confidence but looks like a fairly dry pattern with changeable temperatures.

Tuesday Forecast

7:21AM

DAYS 1-5 (NOVEMBER 8-12)
High pressure dominates and provides fair weather for Election Day today. After a cold start, it will warm up nicely. If you have not already done early voting, please get out and vote today! A cold front passes through on Wednesday with a few showers, then fair weather returns for the end of the week including Veterans Day Friday. Parades and ceremonies should take place with dry conditions for this time of year. A cold front will move through Friday night and bring a shot of windy and colder weather in for Saturday.
TODAY: Sunny. Highs 55-63. Wind light variable to SW.
TONIGHT: Increasing clouds. Lows 42-50. Wind SW 5-15 MPH.
WEDNESDAY: Mostly cloudy with a passing rain shower morning and midday Boston-Providence corridor northwest, then a better chance of showers to the southeast midday and afternoon. Highs 50-58. Wind light W to NW.
THURSDAY: Mostly sunny. Lows 28-35. Highs 48-55.
FRIDAY: Partly cloudy. Lows 25-34. Highs 50-58.
SATURDAY: Partly cloudy. Windy. Lows 25-34. Highs 42-50.

DAYS 6-10 (NOVEMBER 13-17)
Fair with moderating temperatures early to mid period. Rain risk increases at the end of the period depending on the development of a system from the west.

DAYS 11-15 (NOVEMBER 18-22)
Still looking at a risk of unsettled weather early in the period followed by fair and somewhat colder weather. Low confidence here.

Monday Forecast

7:21AM

DAYS 1-5 (NOVEMBER 7-11)
High pressure moves in for fair weather today and Tuesday. Though it will be on the cool side today, a nice warm-up will occur on Election Day Tuesday. A cold front will pass through the region early Wednesday producing some clouds and nothing more than a passing rain shower and then fair weather returns later Wednesday through Friday. A low pressure system offshore may bring some cloudiness on Friday and then a stronger cold front should pass through the region Friday night.
TODAY: Sunny. Highs 48-55. Wind N up to 10 MPH.
TONIGHT: Clear. Lows 22-28 interior valleys, 28-35 elsewhere. Wind light variable.
TUESDAY: Sunny. Highs 55-63. Wind light variable to SW.

Early indications are for a Great Lakes low early in the period with a chance of rain here, then fair and colder later in the period.

Sunday Forecast

10:45AM

DAYS 1-5 (NOVEMBER 6-10)
Disturbance passing through brings cloudiness and a few showers especially to eastern areas for part of today before exiting late day. The upcoming week will feature mainly dry weather with a warming trend later Monday through Election Day Tuesday, which should feature great weather for going out to vote. A cold front will drop through the region early Wednesday producing some clouds and nothing more than a passing rain shower and then fair weather returns later Wednesday and Thursday.
TODAY: Lots of clouds, intervals of sun, and a few passing rain showers mainly southeastern NH and eastern MA. Highs 48-56. Wind N 10-20 MPH with higher gusts.

TUESDAY: Sunny. Lows 28-35. Highs 55-63.
WEDNESDAY: Variably cloudy with a passing rain shower morning. Mostly sunny afternoon. Lows 42-50. Highs 50-58.
THURSDAY: Mostly sunny. Lows 28-35. Highs 48-55.

DAYS 6-10 (NOVEMBER 11-15)
Veterans Day November 11 may start fair but end unsettled depending on the development of low pressure offshore. This may linger into November 12 with rain/snow showers as it turns windy/colder but most of the weekend of November 12-13 should feature dry weather despite wind and a chill. Fair weather and still on the cool side November 14-15.

DAYS 11-15 (NOVEMBER 16-20)
Still watching for a slightly more active pattern during this time but not entirely sure how it evolves just yet. Will revisit this on the next update.
