DAYS 1-5 (OCTOBER 23-27)…
Back to the chill today as a fresh cool air mass arrives from Canada, along with some cloudiness to start the day then more sun with time as the air in the lower levels of the atmosphere dries out. Temperatures will be about 20 degrees colder than yesterday along with a gusty breeze adding to the chill. This will lead to a cold night tonight as high pressure noses overhead and winds drop off. The weekend will start bright and cold with lots of sun for much of Saturday, though some low clouds may sneak in off the ocean as the wind turns more northeast to east during the course of the day, and a more widespread deck of high to middle cloudiness will begin to move in from the west later in the day ahead of an approaching front, which will cross the region Sunday morning and midday with just a few rain showers possible. This will be followed by a new push of chilly air by Sunday night and set up a fair but chilly start to next week.
TODAY: Partly cloudy through mid morning then mostly sunny. Highs 48-55. Wind NW 10-20 MPH and gusty.
TONIGHT: Clear. Lows 25-32 interior valleys, 32-37 elsewhere. Diminishing NW wind.
SATURDAY: Sunny to partly cloudy through mid afternoon then increasing clouds later in the afternoon. Highs in the 50s. Wind N to NE 5-15 MPH.
SATURDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy. Risk of rain showers west to east overnight. Lows in the 40s. Wind variable shifting to SW 5-15 MPH.

MONDAY: Mostly sunny. Lows 25-35. Highs 45-55.
TUESDAY: Mostly sunny. Lows 25-35. Highs in the 50s.
DAYS 6-10 (OCTOBER 28-NOVEMBER 1)…
Watching for a possible rain event later October 28 through October 29 and some of this will hinge on the future of the moisture associated with powerful Pacific Hurricane Patricia about to make landfall on the western coast of Mexico. Even if that moisture does not get involved, an unsettled weather event is still possible here during that time. Fair weather returns for October 30-31. It may turn unsettled again to start November. Temperatures variable averaging out near to above normal.
DAYS 11-15 (NOVEMBER 2-6)…
Fair weather returns early to mid period before another chance of wet weather arrives late period. Temperatures chill-off early in the period then moderate.
DAYS 1-5 (OCTOBER 22-26)…
Significant change from today to tomorrow brought on by the passage of a cold front this evening. Today’s mild, cloud-filled and somewhat humid day with a chance of rain showers and even a thunderstorm will be replaced by bright, chilly, crisp weather tomorrow. Nice weather to start the weekend but another front will cross the region early Sunday with clouds and a rain shower threat before fair weather returns. High pressure builds in with fair and cool weather Monday.
TODAY: Mostly cloudy. Areas of light fog this morning. A few breaks of sun mainly this afternoon. Isolated rain showers mid afternoon on from west to east. Risk of a heavier shower with thunder late. Somewhat humid. Highs 65-73. Wind S to SW increasing to 10-20 MPH with higher gusts.
TONIGHT: Clouds and lingering rain showers mainly Cape Cod early, otherwise clearing. Lows in the 40s. Wind shifting to W 5-15 MPH with higher gusts.

MONDAY: Mostly sunny. Lows in the 30s. Highs around 50.
DAYS 6-10 (OCTOBER 27-31)…

DAYS 11-15 (NOVEMBER 1-5)…
Fairly dry pattern with changeable temperatures.

DAYS 1-5 (OCTOBER 21-25)…
Frontal boundary slipped to the south overnight and will remain there today, making today cooler and more cloudy than yesterday. A reversal tomorrow will put southeastern New England back into the warmer air before a cold front sweeps through from the west in the evening returning a chilly air mass to the region by Friday. A second front will rapidly cross the region Sunday and looks like it may have quick enough movement to be through the region on the earlier side.

TONIGHT: Mainly cloudy. Patchy fog. Lows 50-55. Wind light variable.

DAYS 11-15 (OCTOBER 31-NOVEMBER 4)…
Generally dry and milder than average.
DAYS 1-5 (OCTOBER 20-24)…
Northern jet stream stays dominant with generally fast-moving systems, but the orientation of a front keeps it nearby for 3 days with lots of clouds but only a slight chance of rain showers through Thursday but temperatures that will vary somewhat as the front wavers back and forth. A cold front from the west will sweep through Thursday night, returning cool and bright weather late week.
TODAY: Mostly cloudy to partly sunny. Slight risk of rain showers. Highs in the 60s. Wind SW 10-20 MPH and gusty.

DAYS 11-15 (OCTOBER 30-NOVEMBER 3)…
Again no major changes to the dry pattern with variable but overall milder than average temperatures.
DAYS 1-5 (OCTOBER 19-23)…
Work week will be largely dry (again) with a cold start and a milder middle and end, though some variability in temperature will be noted mid to late week after a mid week warm up. Part of this will be due to a front that drops out of Canada and wavers around the region from late Tuesday into Thursday. This front will never produce more than a few showers, however.
TODAY: Sunny. Highs 46-53. Wind NW 5-15 MPH, higher gusts this morning.
TONIGHT: Increasing high clouds. Lows around 40 early then rising through the 40s. Wind light W to SW.

FRIDAY: Mostly sunny. Lows in the 40s. Highs 55-65.
DAYS 6-10 (OCTOBER 24-28)…
Will watch a trough to the south early in the period but for now the chance of it impacting the region in any meaningful way is pretty low, so it looks like the overall dry pattern continues with temperatures changeable with passing fronts but overall near to above normal for this period.
DAYS 11-15 (OCTOBER 29-NOVEMBER 2)…
Dry overall pattern with temperatures near to above normal as we head toward early November.
DAYS 1-5 (OCTOBER 18-22)…

DAYS 11-15 (OCTOBER 28-NOVEMBER 1)…
Mainly dry weather. Temperatures near to mostly above normal.

No big changes. Chilly weather coming in, peaks Sunday/Monday before a warm up ensues. Cold front may bring a few showers this morning before dry weather returns. DAYS 11-15 (OCTOBER 26-30)…
Mainly dry weather. Temperatures near to mostly above normal.
DAYS 1-5 (OCTOBER 15-19)…
The stair-stepping downward trend in temperature is underway and will continue as cold fronts pass by midday Friday and again sometime on Saturday. A little uncertainty exists for Saturday, with some hints at a trough sitting over the region for several hours as low pressure quickly develops offshore. If this comes to fruition, then Saturday would be on the unsettled side, at least in part. The coolest air of the season so far arrives this weekend and lasts into Monday when a turn-around will get underway, as the cool shot will be short-lived.

DAYS 11-15 (OCTOBER 25-29)…
Mainly dry weather. Temperatures near to mostly above normal.
DAYS 1-5 (OCTOBER 14-18)…
It’ll be about the temperature changes more than anything as the only real chance of precipitation the next 5 days is the first 2/3 of Friday from one of a series of cold fronts that causes a downward temperature trend.
TODAY: Mostly sunny morning. Partly sunny afternoon. Highs in the 60s. Wind W 5-15 MPH and gusty.

DAYS 11-15 (OCTOBER 24-28)…
Overall pattern remains mostly dry with variable temperatures averaging out close to normal.
DAYS 1-5 (OCTOBER 13-17)…
Low pressure wave moving north northeastward will pass just east of Cape Cod by midday today, bringing showers mainly this morning especially to southeastern MA. Cold front number 1 will pass through from west to east this evening with a risk of rain showers in a couple of waves, but they will likely be weakening as they move through, limiting rainfall. Cold front number 2 will pass through from northwest to southeast later Wednesday but will bring mainly cloudiness and probably no precipitation. Cold front number 3 will be due by the middle of Friday, accompanied by rain showers. Cold front number 4 is expected to charge through the region Saturday with a few rain showers. And of course, certainty and timing confidence decreases slightly the further out in time you go so watch for updates.
TODAY: Mostly cloudy morning with occasional rain showers, best chance over southeastern MA including possible brief downpours and a slight risk of thunder. Partly sunny afternoon with isolated showers. More humid. Highs upper 60s Cape Cod and South Coast, 70s elsewhere. Wind variable 5-15 MPH morning, S to SW 10-20 MPH afternoon.

DAYS 1-5 (OCTOBER 12-16)…
If you are lucky enough to have today off, you win, especially if you planned something outside. A little bit of Summer will linger in the air as high pressure to the south sends a warm southwest wind across the region. Still watching a low pressure area that will travel out to sea to the south but close enough for some clouds and perhaps a shower over Cape Cod early Tuesday. The rest of the region will have to wait for a passing cold front to bring a shower threat later Tuesday, but that does not look very widespread. Fair weather returns for midweek with a cooling trend behind the cold front. Another disturbance will move rapidly across the region Friday with a few more showers possible.
TODAY – COLUMBUS DAY: Sunny. Highs 70-75 South Coast, 75-80 elsewhere. Wind SW 10-20 MPH and gusty.

WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny. Lows in the 40s. Highs in the 60s.
THURSDAY: Mostly sunny. Lows in the 30s. Highs in the 50s.
FRIDAY: Variably cloudy. Chance of showers. Lows in the 40s. Highs in the 50s.
DAYS 6-10 (OCTOBER 17-21)…
A dry but very cool weekend October 17-18. Fair with a warming trend October 19-21.
DAYS 11-15 (OCTOBER 22-26)…
Mainly dry weather continues with variable temperatures heading into late month.
DAYS 1-5 (OCTOBER 11-15)…
High and some middle cloudiness overnight prevented temperatures from falling to their potential lows and therefore frost was isolated in the lowest-lying inland areas. The great weekend weather continues today through Columbus Day Monday as we enter the warm-up phase on an increasing west to south wind. Low pressure passes offshore and a weak cold front slides through from the west Tuesday with a few showers possible, then it’s back to fair weather with a cool-down for Wednesday and Thursday.
TODAY: Filtered sun with variable high cloudiness morning, brighter sun with a few high clouds afternoon. Highs 65-70 except 60-65 deepest valleys. Wind W to SW increasing to 10-20 MPH.

WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny. Lows in the 40s. Highs 55-65.
THURSDAY: Mostly sunny. Lows 35-45. Highs in the 50s.
DAYS 6-10 (OCTOBER 16-20)…
Fair and cool October 16. Possible rain/snow showers October 17, dry October 18, unseasonable chill. Fair with a warming trend October 19-20.
DAYS 11-15 (OCTOBER 21-25)…
Up and down temperature pattern with a warmer start and colder finish possible, with perhaps a threat of unsettled weather briefly around temperature transition from warmer to colder.
