DAYS 1-5 (APRIL 24-28)
High pressure hangs on with fair weather across the region today. Temperatures will be fun to track for a while, starting with chilly morning lows followed by a quick rise that is thwarted by a coastal sea breeze, setting up a significant contrast in high temps between the coast and inland. A warm front will cross the region tonight and early Friday, perhaps with brief light rain for southern NH / northern MA though most areas stay dry. This front may try to slip back south southwestward as a back-door cold front into southeastern NH and possibly northeastern MA during Friday, so the temperature forecast is a bit tricky, and there may even be an additional rain shower or two near that boundary. A more significant warm sector push takes place Saturday with a southwesterly air flow across the region, but accompanied by lots of clouds and at least a couple rounds of rain showers. Still working on the timing / coverage forecast details for this, but for now just plan on an unsettled day in which it can rain at any time. Behind a cold front comes blustery, cooler weather for Sunday, with a sun/cloud mix as some cold air aloft causes some instability. There may be a diurnal rain shower or two (maybe some graupel if heavy enough?) across parts of the region, but overall look for a dry day. High pressure dominates Monday with fair weather, a chilly start, then a nice temperature recovery.
TODAY: Sunny to partly cloudy. Highs ranging from 50-57 immediate coast (coolest Cape Cod) to 68-75 inland (warmest interior valleys). Wind variable up to 10 MPH with coastal sea breezes up to 15 MPH.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Variably cloudy. Patchy fog. Lows 50-57. Wind S 5-15 MPH.
